Does this app work offline?
Yes. BackStageClock works completely offline. The app never makes network requests and does not require an internet connection at any point.
Why is my screen not staying on?
BackStageClock automatically disables the screen lock while the app is in the foreground. If your screen still dims or sleeps, check that Low Power Mode is disabled, and that the app is actually active in the foreground (not in App Switcher background state).
Can I add more fonts?
The current version includes 5 carefully selected fonts: DSEG7 Classic (7-segment LED style), SF Mono, Menlo, Courier New, and Monaco. We may add more in future updates based on user feedback. Email us if there's a specific font you'd like to see.
How do I switch between 24-hour and 12-hour display?
Tap directly on the timecode display to toggle between 24h and 12h formats. You can also change it in the Settings panel. The setting is remembered across launches.
Why doesn't the analog background clock show?
The analog background is enabled by default but can be toggled off in Settings. If it's enabled but not visible, increase the opacity (default is 20%) using the adjustment in Settings.
Does the LAP stopwatch save my lap history?
No. The LAP function shows only the current lap and resets when you close the app. This is intentional — BackStageClock stays focused on being a clock, not a logger.
My selected city's time looks wrong.
BackStageClock uses the iOS system time zone database, which includes automatic daylight saving time (DST) adjustments. If a city's time looks off, first verify your iPhone or iPad has the correct date and time (Settings → General → Date & Time → Set Automatically).
Can I use this on Apple Watch?
Not currently. BackStageClock is designed for the larger displays of iPhone and iPad where the timecode can be read across a room or stage. Apple Watch support is not planned.
Is there an Android version?
No. BackStageClock is an iOS / iPadOS exclusive.
Will there be subscription pricing?
No. BackStageClock is a one-time purchase. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no premium tiers. You buy it once and own it.

A screenshot or short screen recording is enormously helpful when something visual is off (font rendering, color, layout).
